Methods to Make Clean Your Printhead

Please check your nozzles to run clean cycles with the menus on your printer before opening the printer and taking it apart manually.

Printhead Cleaning Cycles.

Epson printers have an extremely efficient cleaning process that usually eliminates the nozzles in one to two or three cycles. Be aware that more recent models feature longer cleaning cycles, which unfortunately require more ink each time. Here’s how to start:

• Before you proceed with any other action, check that the printer isn’t displaying any issues on the LCD screen.
• Click the Home button, ” Setup,” and ” Maintenance.”
• Select “Printhead Nozzle Check“
• The printer will create an image with four colored grids that show the nozzles that are blocked (and those that aren’t).
• If there aren’t any gaps, Select done.
• If cracks or certain lines appear thin, click ” Clean the printhead” and continue.

Attention: Do not shut off your printer when it is in the middle of cleaning. It could cause permanent damage to your device!
